Neurodegenerative Disorders
As part of your central nervous system, which also includes your spinal cord and an extensive network of nerves, your brain functions as the body’s control center. Your brain and the central nervous system control everything throughout your entire body and all its functions.
Neurodegenerative diseases destroy your brain’s tissues and nerves and affect your entire nervous system’s balance. They do this by causing the brain and nerves to deteriorate. There are many factors known to cause this type of disease, including leaky gut, intestinal impermeability, environmental stressors, and genetics.
However, genetics alone is rarely the cause of neurodegenerative and autoimmune diseases. In most cases, at least one or more of the other factors is required to set off the disease. The genomes (DNA) responsible for such diseases can easily remain dormant for many years and may, in fact, never even surface unless these other factors come into play.
These factors include heavy metal toxicity, parasites, Lyme disease, and even mold, which in turn bring about inflammation, nutrient deficiencies, and a weakened immune system. Even things like dietary food choices can bring into play these underlying factors like food sensitivities, micro biome imbalances, hormone imbalances, and nutrient deficiencies caused by an inability to absorb nutrients.
Even things like adverse childhood experiences and physical and emotional traumas from abuse, brain injury, or infection can be the trigger to such diseases. In some cases, multiple traumas like death, divorce, serious disease, and accidents can cause these types of issues to begin.
When the gut’s junctions are open bigger than they should be, leaky gut or intestinal permeability will allow things to get into areas of the body they shouldn’t be. When this happens, the body will begin to attack it, thus setting up the symptoms of some of these types of diseases. This can eventually lead the body to attack itself, bringing about autoimmune diseases like Lupus.
Healthy Habits to Help with Neurodegenerative Disorders

The first place to begin a regime to help treat neurodegenerative diseases is nutrition. Science has proven that a whole-food, plant-based diet will improve brain health dramatically. This type of diet has been proven to be a natural treatment for Parkinson’s disease, dementia, and Alzheimer’s while at the same time improving your overall mood, preserving memory, and lowering brain shrinkage.
- Another essential aspect of this regime is fasting. In recent years fasting has risen to the forefront as a positive way to improve health and longevity. Fasting also reduces inflammation and rids the body of toxins built up over time.
- An overabundance of inflammation is one of the leading causes of damage to neurological tissue and other health problems. One of the most significant contributors to inflammation is caused by your diet choices. Also included is a lack of exercise and lack of proper nutrients in your diet.
- In many studies, Yoga and aerobic exercise have proven to increase the size of the hippocampus, which is the patriot of the brain associated with verbal memory and learning retention. Any physical activities that get your heart rate up and cause you to break a sweat, done consistently over time, will have this desired effect.
- Another great way to ward off inflammation and the onset of these types of diseases is to keep yourself well hydrated at all times. Drinking lots of water helps wash out toxins and unneeded waste products, but aside from that, hydration plays a very crucial role in our body’s ability to replicate your DNA to create healthy new cells. Many researchers feel that water is the key ingredient to keeping the body functioning optimally at the baseline level.
- Our bodies do their regeneration during sleep. Without proper sleep and rest, our bodies simply cannot properly recover from things like stress, exercise, daily activities, and eventually, the body will become sick. One of the key components of sleep is brain cleansing, and it’s critical for cognition. To help your body ward fight against Alzheimer’s and dementia, it’s vital to get plenty of restful sleep every night.
- Heavy emotions like feeling loved, forgiveness, sadness, and remorse have a significant effect on the body’s ability to function properly. Many researchers feel that 9 out of 10 conditions start in the mind and the heart. Meditation is a great way to manage emotions and take positive control of this area of your brain’s functions.
Digging Into the Details About Managing Neurodegenerative Disorders Naturally
I’ve included articles, research, best practices, and more to help you manage neurodegenerative diseases naturally.
The Huge Benefit of Supplements for Neurodegenerative Disorders
Because our bodies produce a matrix of hormones, neurotransmitters, as well as numerous body processes throughout that day, restorative sleep is best achieved when all of these factors remain in good balance with one another. Certain food supplements in addition to your diet can help encourage the body to balance these factors which can indirectly lead to a better, more restful night’s sleep. With changes in our dietary intake in the last few centuries, many necessary nutrients are easily left out of our food intake which is where supplements can help ‘take up the slack’.
Despite the advancements in dietary supplements in the last few years, unfortunately, there are still many less than reputable companies bottling up supplements that are less than effective and some that can even be counterproductive. The most important factors are that your supplements are pure, with no binders or fillers, and are produced in a fashion that allows the body to easily assimilate them for the best effect.
- No Preservatives, No Additives, No Chemicals, No GMOs, No Gluten - we keep our products clean.
- Clean label products. You get what you read on the label. No industry jargon, you get what you should be eating.
- 100% Natural ingredients. Absolutely no fillers, binders, artificial colorings, or flavorings. None.
- We follow the GMP (Good Manufacturing Processes) stipulated guidelines to a tee.
- Made with pride in the USA
